EVIDENCE-BASED NEGOTIATION STRATEGIES FOR WOMEN: GETTING MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT.

In today’s environment, battlefield tactics are no longer effective. To foster and maintain long term relationships, more attention needs to be paid to creating value and focusing on mutually beneficial outcomes.

This workshop offers a unique approach to negotiating by including science-backed strategies that incorporate emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and mindfulness.

In this full-day workshop, participants will develop a wide range of skills to:

  • Test beliefs and assumptions

  • Optimize negotiation results

  • Deal with difficult people

  • Manage emotions for better outcomes

  • Elevate empathy and assertiveness

  • Negotiate with confidence

  • Overcome potential biases

This program is geared towards anyone interested in gaining confidence in their ability to influence others and build consensus. Some content addresses the research around biases that exist when women negotiate and strategies to enable better outcomes; the bulk of the material is applicable to all.

This full-day session includes audience engagement as well as case studies that enable participants to immediately practice the concepts taught. It can also be offered as two half-day sessions.

This program is co-facilitated by Sharon Danzger of Control Chaos and Tracy Fink of The Tortoise Institute. Both facilitators have earned certificates from Harvard University Law School’s Program on Negotiation in Negotiation and Leadership as well as Leveraging the Power of Emotions in Negotiation.
