GETTING AND STAYING MOTIVATED

It is so difficult to start a big project or daunting task and even harder to stay on track once you've begun.  This is especially true when it's something we dread doing.  The road seems unbearably long!  Sometimes, we need to take a step back and look at the big picture.  If we don't enjoy the task, perhaps the motivation can be found in the results derived from project completion.

For example, submitting medical claims can be a bore, but getting money back makes it worthwhile.  The same is true for working on large, complex projects.  The process may be difficult, boring or tedious, but a good outcome might earn us a promotion.

We don't always have the luxury of only doing the things we most enjoy.  Slogging through the unpleasant work can't be avoided so why not embrace it?  Focus on the positive results to keep you motivated!
